Round Oak was founded by P. D. Beckwith in Dowagiac, Michigan in 1871. After several years of hard struggles, the company grew and became a large and well-known stove manufacturer. The Beckwith and Round Oak names, along with the Doe-Wah-Jack trademark, became household words and put Dowagiac on the map. The company operated for 75 years, and was sold in 1946. This is the second book, printed in 1994.
